Facebook is one of the most influential sites on the internet. Some believe Facebook has become too big to be regulated effectively. The power also means that they can be a threat to democracy and capitalism. I think that to a certain extent, Facebook has become the bad guy, they have been the primary ones who drive traffic to fake news stories and sites. Yet there is still a denial. They need to do something to at least monitor what is being shared the most, particularly with news Stories that are being shared the most. There needs to be some responsibility taken to make sure the content/news- on the sites that are most used as a source of news - is reliable and appropriate.
